Puppy 2 - Humans 0

The votes are in, and unlike Afghanistan, there will be no recounts or protests. I'm pretty sure, neither Karzai or Abdullah will make final cut. (In case you can't tell, this is Dave writing.) We now have our puppy and her name is Oreo. Inky Stinky Watabinky was a close second.

We decided a long time ago, that if we ever got a dog, it would be an outside dog, who occasionally would visit the family inside, while we would spend lots of time outside with her. With this mind, we put up a temporary fence in the yard to give the dog plenty of room and made various preparations. Ah, the best laid plans of mice and men.

You may wondering about the score...It is now the second night with Oreo, and...wait for it...she has now spent 2 nights inside. We had a plan, but Oreo, aka Houdini, has leaped tall fences in a single bound, and somehow managed to crawl over, under, or through a stonewall. We're still not sure how she managed it, but at 11PM on Halloween, we had a trick-or-treater offering us an adorable Labrador puppy that bore a remarkable resemblance to Oreo. She had managed to get out of her prison and was roaming the streets of our fair village.

Yes, Oreo is 2 for 2 while the Humans are being shut out. It's a good thing she's so cute.
