Two weeks in a row we have been invited to a Sunday lunch potluck. Culturally, Sundays are reserved for time with family here in Wales. The last two Sundays we have had Sunday lunch with our church family here in Llantwit Major. We gathered at someone's house and enjoyed a potluck lunch (with loads and loads of food!). It has been more than a bit amazing (strange even!) how warm and welcoming this community has been to us newcomers. Truly, we have been blessed.
We have been told repeatedly how often we have been prayed for these past months previous to our arrival. And from the first day we arrived we (and now the Newcombs) have been flooded with food, flowers, household items, and potluck invitations!
Each one of our children has new friends and playmates through this community. God's family has truly acted in word and deed in such a way, I can imagine, makes Him smile. Thank you, Lord, for Bethel Baptist Church... a piece of Your Body, Lord, in a little town in Wales. Beautiful.

That is so wonderful that the community has embraced you. That is heart warming to hear.
